We offer Charter Angling Fishing Trips from the picturesque port of Whitby North Yorks.
Jon Whitton needs no introduction, as most regular anglers are aware, running Whitby Fishing Trips he has served many a year taking anglers, both novice and experienced out to sea fishing and his knowledge and expertise is second to none. Indeed Jon’s former boat, Never Can Tell – A, was a regular sight in the port of Whitby, and has won many daily and overall prizes in the Whitby Charter Skippers Association (WCSA) Festivals of Fishing.
After taking a well earned rest, the sea has lured Jon to once again take over Whitby Fishing Trips with Skipper Barry Goodhall who, after several years on other vessels in Whitby took the plunge and became a partner in Whitby Fishing Trips Ltd.
Over the past 6 months we have been working behind the scenes on our new boat Alexia 2.
She’s a Procharter P4 Extra Wide.
Built in 2007 she’s a one of one build. There was plenty of P4’s built but ours was built as an extra wide edition and is a one off.
She’s 40ft long and a whopping 4.36m wide with island wheel house, giving the option for our anglers to fish pretty much the full length of the boat. The wheel house also features an anglers cabin with comfortable seating for 14, and we are just in the process of adding tea and coffee making facilities as well as a microwave for anglers to use if they wish. It’s also great for anglers who wish to go for a sit down whilst we travel out to the fishing grounds in comfort.
The boat also has an on deck fully flushing private toilet.
The space on this boat is just unreal, it’s the biggest decked boat in Whitby and probably one of the biggest decked charter boats in the country. She was built in Kirkwall to carry crew to the Oil Rigs off the Shetland isles, and was designed to cope with rough seas, so is a very sturdy sea boat.
Despite her size, she’s no slouch either and is powered by a Cummins QSM 11ltr engine which has just recently went through a full overhaul and is capable of speeds over 20knts, meaning we can get our anglers offshore much quicker.
Our anglers are guaranteed maximum space and comfort, even with 12 anglers there is still ample room for everyone.
Daniel, Barry and Jon are a great friendly team and will provide a safe, enjoyable trip suitable for any angler from the novice to the experienced, we pride ourselves in excellent customer service.
